About ArtLoversTravel

Welcome to ArtLoversTravel.com.  We are Steven, a New York-based artist, and Artur, a European scientist with a lifelong passion for travel.  In 2019, we envisioned a space where art could serve as a powerful bridge — connecting viewers with art museum exhibitions in North America and Europe, and rekindling profound emotional memories.

Our Story:  Art, the Importance of Memory, and Shared Journeys

ArtLoversTravel was born from a deeply personal understanding of the challenges faced by those dealing with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory slippage.  We witnessed firsthand the evocative power of art to stir the soul and the heart, and unlock cherished moments and memories.  For these reasons, we created a resource dedicated to promoting “Emotional Memory.”  One of our goals is to offer vivid, accessible art experiences for individuals who have less access to museums or face travel limitations, and to provide a supportive resource for the dedicated caregivers who help promote emotional memory.

Meet Steven – The Artist’s Eye

ArtLoversTravel.com co-founder Steven, a man with a goatee wearing a yellow polo shirt, standing in his art studio next to framed paintings.

Steven, a native New Yorker and visual artist, has spent much of his life as an ardent advocate for freedom of expression.  He is well known for his support of the academic freedom rights of educators and librarians, as well as the free speech rights of authors, directors, writers, and students.  Steven has been an eloquent voice against all forms of censorship, including book banning, and all attempts to silence people though intolerance and autocratic government.

We at ArtLoversTravel defend the free speech rights of everyone.  We believe restricting access to art, literature, and any peaceful form of free expression is extremely dangerous and only serves to narrow our understanding of the world, and of one other.  Art — in all its creative forms — challenges us, comforts us, and encourages us to empathize with and better understand the points of view of others.  This dialogue fosters respect, and it must remain open and uncensored.

Meet Artur – The Traveler’s Mind & Scientific Heart

I’m Artur, and while my professional world is rooted in the principles of physics, my personal world has been wonderfully enriched by a developing love for art, often discovered through my travels. Initially, travel was my primary way of exploring new horizons, but I soon realized that art was a destination in itself—a vibrant landscape of human creativity and expression.

For me, art is a powerful source of both inspiration and profound relaxation. It’s a quiet dialogue that can spark a cascade of new ideas, much like a scientific problem can unfold to reveal unexpected solutions. I’m fascinated by how engaging with art can help cultivate new neural pathways, essentially allowing our minds to become more flexible and to perceive things from angles we hadn’t considered before. It’s this cognitive dance between observation, emotion, and interpretation that I find so captivating.

Through ArtLoversTravel, I hope to share this sense of discovery. Whether it’s examining the intricate details of a piece that reveal the artist’s technique or understanding the broader context that shaped its creation, I believe art offers endless opportunities for growth and connection. It’s my sincere hope that our articles can provide not just a glimpse into beautiful collections, but also a gentle nudge to see the world—and perhaps our own memories—through a richer, more multifaceted lens.”
